The Academy comprises over 750 members from eight countries. Membership is open to distinguished scholars, specialists and public figures who have made significant contributions to information sciences, information processes and technologies. Members are elected through the Academy's established procedures.
Candidates are nominated by existing members of the Academy in recognition of their scholarly contributions.
Applications are reviewed by the relevant scientific section and evaluated on research merit and contributions.
Members are elected by vote of the Academy's membership in accordance with the Academy's statutes.
New members are formally inducted and join the international community of IAS IPT scholars.
