Global mission

Our Mission

The mission of the International Academy of Sciences on Information, Information Processes and Technologies is the global development of information and telecommunications, and the coordination and advancement of information and communication technologies worldwide.

We bring together scientists, specialists, state and public figures who contribute to the development of information technologies and processes across all sectors of the economy, the informatisation of society, and the creation of a single world information space.

Our History

Three decades of advancing information sciences and international scientific cooperation.

1993

Foundation of the Academy

The International Academy of Sciences on Information, Information Processes and Technologies was founded to unite scholars and specialists working at the frontier of informatics and information technologies.

1997

Official Registration

The Academy was officially registered as an international scientific public organisation, establishing its headquarters in Moscow.

2006

Launch of the Quarterly Journal

The Academy began publishing the peer-reviewed journal «Information and Communication Technologies», issued four times a year, becoming a key platform for scholarly exchange in the field.

UN Engagement

United Nations Consultative Status

The Academy obtained consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and accreditation with UNCTAD and UNESCO, becoming an associated member of the UN NGO community.

Today

A Growing International Network

Today the Academy comprises over 750 academicians and corresponding members across eight countries, with regional branches and departments, publishing 30–40 books annually and contributing to global ICT development.

International Alliance of Public Academies of Sciences

The Academy is a member of the International Alliance of Public Academies of Sciences, a network uniting non-governmental academies across countries to promote scientific cooperation.

International Guild of Scribes

Through its affiliation with the International Guild of Scribes, the Academy supports scholarly writing, scientific publishing and the dissemination of knowledge.
