Founded in 1993 and registered in 1997, IAS IPT is an international scientific public organisation headquartered in Moscow, with regional branches and departments across Russia and other states. Our 750 members — academicians and corresponding members — represent the scientific and technological community across eight countries.
The Academy holds consultative status with the United Nations ECOSOC and is accredited with UNCTAD and UNESCO. We are an associated member of the UN Department of Global Communications NGO community.

Publishing the quarterly journal «Information and Communication Technologies» since 2006, alongside 30–40 scholarly monographs and textbooks authored by Academy members each year.
Contributing to the United Nations agenda through ECOSOC consultative status, accreditation with UNCTAD and UNESCO, and participation in global partnerships for development.
Promoting information culture, digital inclusion and the informatisation of society in support of the Millennium Development Goals and a global partnership for development.
The Academy conducts its activities across an international geography, bringing together researchers and institutions from the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Denmark and the United States of America.
We are affiliated with the International Alliance of Public Academies of Sciences and the International Guild of Scribes, and cooperate with universities, research centres and public academies worldwide.

The Academy convenes its annual international conference bringing together researchers in informatics, telecommunications and cybernetics from member states and partner organisations.

The Academy's peer-reviewed journal, published since 2006, invites submissions of original research on ICT theory, applications and educational technologies.

IAS IPT continues its engagement with ECOSOC, UNCTAD and UNESCO, contributing scientific expertise to global partnerships for development and the information society.
